Have you ever telephoned your Service Provider to report a fault or to book a
Telephone Engineer for Telecom work in your home or business? Maybe because of a
noisy line, phones that do not ring, no dial tone or any other problem?
If you have then you were most likely to have been quoted a very high rate! The reason for this is because Openreach (BT Engineering Department) look after the Telephone Line Network within the UK, they are obliged to fix any faults on the external Network on behalf of your Service Provider but if the fault lies within your property it is deemed to be out of their remit and therefore the customer will pick up the bill.
The average cost for an Openreach Engineer to come to your home is £120 (If the fault is in your own home) This price is just to determine that the fault is in your own home, it is not to repair. We at JM TeleComp offer a Diagnostic Service; we will come to your home and tell you where the fault lies and if it’s outside your home you can call your Service Provider and they won’t charge you. If it is inside your home we can repair the fault for you.
